Watch our Fat Pigeon Live session

On Friday we were very lucky to be one of four bands who were asked to showcase what the local scene is all about at St Lawrence's Church in Biddulph as part of the Biddulph Music Festival. The whole gig was live streamed and featured performances from ourselves, Don't Call Me Ishmael, Nixon Tate & the Honey Club and John Dhali. It's a great video, we're first up with DCMI and play for about 30 mins.

You can watch it on the Fat Pigeon Facebook Page. If you don't have Facebook then don't fret because they normally release the sessions onto Youtube after a week or two.

Stay weird,

Check out the Futurewife BBC Session!

FUTUREWIFE was kindly asked to play a BBC Introducing session in early May and now it's been aired. We're really thankful to Rob Adcock for sorting this out for us and for taking a real interest in what the project is all about.

Sophie spoke to Rob about the process of making the record and the emotional ups and downs that it represents. It's a great little interview that really captures what the Nicest Day EP is all about. In terms of performing I actually had stuff to do, as opposed to pretending to play the keyboard (which is what I was hoping to do.)

You can listen to the interview for a week or so on the BBC Website.

Live session - listen back!

On Monday night we rode out to Leek for an appearance on the Quiet Revolution show - our first since Emily Jones took over.

You can listen back to show on Mixcloud. We come on at about an hour and twenty minutes in. There's four songs (including a new one) and a really fun interview.

Thanks to Em for having us on the show.

Stay weird,
